This guide created by HumanNetwork should be your FIRST READ before posting any questions regarding setting up your NFusion for the first time.

Q. Why am I missing some channels?

A. This is a known problem and will be addressed by the coders. See this thread or this thread for more information.

Q. Do I need an internet connection to use this STB?

A. Yes and No. Currently (at the time of this post) an internet connection is required to receive certain channels on the Nfusion due to the latest ECM. When a 'stand-alone' bin has been release, you will not have to utilize the IKS (internet key sharing) option.

What's up with that RED LIGHT?

A.

Q. What do I need to make my nfusion wireless?

A.
You have several choices:
-Logitech Playlink Wireless Cubes - $40
-Netgear Powerline Adapter (XE102) - $50
-D-Link Wireless Gaming Adapter (DWL-G820 or DGL-3420) - $70 to $100
-Linksys Wireless Gaming Adapter (WGA54G) - $75

Q. Can I reset my channel list?

A. No, you can only delete one by one or do a factory reset.

Q. Can I use my Coolsat RS-232 cable with my nfusion?

A. No, please use the RS-232 cable that came with your NFusion, they are different types.

Q. My laptop doesn't have serial port, only usb.

A. You can get a USB to Serial RS-232 Adapter for $12

Q. Does nfusion get Globecast? What is globecast?

A. Yes globecast is (currently) on IKS only. Globecast is another satellite provider Galaxy 25 at 97 degrees, mostly used for International Channels.

How do I switch from military time (24hr) to regular time (12hr)?

A.

Can I use a wireless mobile broadband card to connect my NFusion to the internet?

A. YES. Look HERE.

Q: How do you set up Nfusion to work with a Motorized system?

A:
First you have to select settings in System Settings:
- Tp & Ch Auto Updater On
- Language Setting your choice
- Time Setting click Ok the select your zone and turn summer Off

- Click Menu and go to User Settings:
- Local Area Select your area, needs to be selected to work, one close to you if your in Canada, in Manitoba we choose Fargo ND
- Channell Guide By time
- EPG Update Manual
- Dolby Digital Off as when on sometimes you will get no volume or sound
- Dish Network Autoroll On
- Bev Network Autoroll On
- Emulator On

- Click Menu:
- Select Installation Ok and then Antenna Settings and Ok
- Satellite Your choice ie: 119 w Echostar 7
- LNB type 1. Standard this will be selected for you automatically
- Lo Freq 11250 this will again be selected for you
- 22HZ Off will be selected for you
- Diseqc Mode You select your Port #
- Multi Dish Switch Disable unless you are using this type of setup
- Motor Settings Diseqc 1.2 click ok
- Scroll down to Move West - East and you will move your dish until the Quality and Signal lines at the bottom turn GREEN and go to the highest number possible
- Scroll down to Store Position and click OK

- Click Menu twice and a CONFIRMATION window will pop up,
YOU MUST SELECT YES AND CLICK OK TO SAVE THIS INFORMATION
- Now you can go to channell scan and download the channells.
- Once you have all the satellites selected and Confirmed with the channell list downloaded you will select Guide on the remote and then click the GREEN Audio button, now select the satellite you want to watch and then select a channel. The motor will move to the chosen position and you can pick your program. If you see double listings just click the guide button and then the green audio button and reselect your satellite.
- You do not need to enter USALS at all to make this feature work.
